In previous posts, we mentioned that we have filed a request for a revaluation of our property to reduce our real estate taxes. We initially filed our request with the Lake County Auditor’s office in January, 2018.
We just received a certified letter from the Auditor’s office scheduling a hearing on June 22nd.
When you are requesting a reduction in property values of $50,000 or more, then you must have a hearing with the Auditor’s’ office, and the lawyer for the respective school board will be in attendance.
