We attended a meeting in Perry dealing with proposals concerning end of life options being promoted in the State of Ohio. Thanks to our Perry Lobbyist Kim for the links to this website.
We heard an attorney named Rita L. Marker from the Patients Rights Council give an opposing viewpoint on proposed State legislation that would approve doctor-assisted suicide bills. Here is their newsletter:

Those that promote doctor assisted suicides view it as just another medical option for anyone, for any reason. However, as the old saying goes “the devil is in the details.”
Here is what could happen if Ohio enacts an “End of Life Option Act”:
End of Life Option Act
A very real concern is that insurance companies will not provide coverage on a medical condition, but will pay only for “end of life options”. This could be viewed as “social engineering” since the person with a terminal illness is no longer “useful” to society, and therefore should accept the end of life options.
(Comment: This goes a long way toward euthanasia that is being practiced in some European countries. What a morale bankrupt country we are becoming. It is now socially acceptable to kill babies in the womb, and now we want to terminate seniors that have outlive their usefulness. Destroy the family, babies and morality and a society will collapse on itself)
From Wikipedia: “As of March 2018, human euthanasia is legal in the Netherlands, Belgium, Colombia, Luxembourg, Canada and India. Assisted suicide is legal in Switzerland, Germany, South Korea, Japan, and in the US states of Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Hawaii, Vermont, Montana, Washington DC, and California.”
